Dear Colleague,
We are honoured to invite you to an open day meeting “Application of Soil Microbiology to Forensics” to be held at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France on May 12th, 2015. This meeting will summarize a two-year effort by the MiSAFE consortium on the development, evaluation and implementation of methods and protocols for analyzing the bacterial community profile of soil samples for forensics use. The day’s open programme to which you are kindly invited includes:
- Presentation of the MiSAFE project
- Sampling and storage of soil samples
- DNA extraction and technologies to analyse soil DNA
- Implementation: comparison of soil samples, SOP and databases
- Evaluation of simulated crime scenes
- Legal aspects
